Accepted everywhere

It was a tall order: Strike the perfect balance of tradition and innovation, familiarity and contemporaneity, to refresh one of the world’s most recognized brands. Michael redesigned Mastercard’s iconic logo, emphasizing simplicity and clarity. Optimized for use across all digital platforms, the new logo positions the company as forward-thinking, prepared to innovate in a constantly shifting digital environment.

His other notable work includes the graphic identity for MIT Media Lab, posters for the Architectural League of New York, promotion for Playwrights Horizons, a New York based writer’s theater, and the 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign logo.

“If you do it right, you can use design as a way to go places you’d never go, learn things you never would have learned, and put yourself in situations where you wouldn’t normally be.”
