Central Florida architecture has a history and lineage that can be traced back to Frank Lloyd Wright, Walter Gropius (Sarasota School of Design), and James Gamble Rogers. This includes the work of architects Nils M. Schweizer, Murry S. King, Gene Leedy, James Gamble Rogers II, and many other talented local architects.

The area is home to the only Frank Lloyd Wright-designed campus at Florida Southern College, Santiago Calatrava’s Polytechnic University, Barton Myers’ Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts Center, and the groundbreaking work of new urbanists.
