Alejandro Aravena
Pritzker Prize winner Alejandro Aravena is the co-founder of Elemental, a “Do Tank” that focuses on projects of public interest and social impact. Last year he boldly responded to critics who think well-designed social housing is too expensive by releasing four of his affordable housing designs as an open-source resource. Learn more >


Sofia Borges
Sofia is a Los Angeles-based writer, designer, curator, and trend consultant. She is a faculty member at the USC School of Architecture, the acting director of MADWORKSHOP, a regular contributor to Mark Magazine, and a contributing curator at victionary. She recently spearheaded the USC School of Architecture’s first-ever advanced topics design studio on the homeless crisis in Los Angeles.


Francis Kéré, Hon. FAIA
Francis founded Kéré Architecture to reinvest in his Burkina Faso community and beyond. He has designed award-winning projects across the globe, including Burkina Faso, Mali, Sudan, and Mozambique. He was recently selected to design the 2017 Serpentine Pavillion, built every summer outside the Serpentine Gallery in London’s Kensington Gardens. Learn more >


Michael Murphy
Michael is the co-founder and executive director of MASS Design Group. MASS designs innovative buildings that improve lives in measurable ways and promote health and dignity. Their award-winning Butaro District Hospital redefines purposeful design in health care environments, and they’ve brought this successful model to multiple countries and top hospitals across the US.  Learn more >


Rosa Sheng, AIA
Rosa is a senior associate at Bohlin Cywinski Jackson and Founder of Equity by Design, an AIA SF committee. She has led a variety of award-winning and internationally acclaimed projects, from the aesthetically minimal, highly technical development of the glass structures for Apple’s original high-profile retail stores to the innovative and sustainable LEED NC Gold-certified Lorry I. Lokey Graduate School of Business at Mills College in Oakland, California.
